Quiddler is a popular card game.
In Quiddler, players are tasked with making words out of an increasing number of letter cards in their possession. Eight rounds of the game are played, with each participant receiving three cards in the first round, four in the second, five in the third, and so on. Each card has a point value and one or two letters on it.
A player takes a turn by drawing the top card from the deck or discard pile, followed by the disposal of a card. A player may go out by setting the words on the table when they are able to spell words using all of the cards in their hand (leaving one for discarding). Each word must comprise at least two cards. The remaining players each have one more turn before playing as many cards as they can. Now, each player tallies their points by first adding the point value of any cards used in phrases, then deducting points for any cards still in hand. In addition, 10 bonus points are awarded to the player with the most and longest words. Whoever has the highest score wins!
Quiddler also includes rules for a solo variant.
